I've walked the dark night's forests
I've seen the coldest frosts
Winter's fingers drape the grounds
As the trees wither away
And in the coldest midnight
I turn and look to the sky
Stars above and mists from mouth
Gathering strength I must press on
And in the night howls heard around me
Hungry eyes gaze from beyond
Shadows move as I reach for my side
Moon's reflection pierces the dark
Gnashing teeth coming from voracious maw
Taking steel and driving forward
Piercing the roof of mouths
These few left will go hungry
And as I sheathe my blade
A red pool begins to grow
And gazing down towards the untouched snowfall
I see vitality leak
My knees begin to give
And once more I look to the sky
I can feel my breath begin to flee
Lights of the heavens scatter the night
And in the night howls heard around me
Hungry eyes gaze from beyond
Shadows move as I reach for my side
Moon's reflection pierces the dark
Resting on an ancient oak
My breath begins to fade
The light of my eyes
Is darkened
The band's debut is full of whiskey-burned growls and maniacal high shrieks, not surprising for a group of Detroit metal vets. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 22, 2016
